The Setting
M.R.T.H. ~ G.A.-4
Municipal Resource Terraforming Hub - Galaxy Class A, Subsection 4A medium sized planet in the golden zone for habitation of System 5.097M in the NGC 6284.986 extended globular cluster just past the Zone of Avoidance.
With high day-light temperatures on most of the planet, cities and settlements make use of sun shields to create pockets of artificial atmosphere to dampen the heat.
Even so, nearly all of the larger port cities are primarily nocturnal.
Salt deserts, along with your standard sand deserts, occupy large chunks of the largest landmass, ¹⁷³ Kontinan, stretching to both the North and South-East Coast from the West-midland. These areas are referred to as 'The Outlands' as there are few fully recognized towns located within them, but are home to a network of transport routes, scavenger groups, and various settlements.
While base temperatures are nominally lower in the North and North-West, there is only one geographical region that can lay claim to being a "cold" biome: Cygnus Cradle.
Cygnus StationA former research facility dedicated to studying what has become colloquially known as 'The Trench' located on the far north of 173.
The decision was made to hand over the Station and surveillance duty of the phenomenon to ██████ after █████ Corp. exploration teams were lost and to cease any interaction with it for the time being. In the decades since, the stations has evolved into a tourist destination playing off the mystery of the anomaly and its unique features.
The Trench
Geological anomaly n°G-453-761-008, "The Trench", has been the object of scientific monitoring ever since the first installations were deployed on the planet's surface. With a depth of ███, no theory has been confirmed about its formation at time of writing, as its presence should have compromised the integrity of the planet's mantle.LFS7, "New-Old Downtown"
Initially planned as a commercial district, Subsection 07 of Level F never manged to be fully developed as the project intended and instead was sold piece by piece, as is, for habitation. While dilapidated in appearance, people there are making an effort to make it feel alive and lived in — an effort to which King’s Credit contributes largely through loans.
Perhaps not the best place to be but, if you have connections, not the worse this side of the trench either. It has been, and continues to be, ignored by ██████ so far, which in and of itself makes it attractive
King's Credit
A private loan 'buisness' owned by Matthias ███████ aka "Snickerdoodle".
There is almost nothing in the district — or Levels E through L — that King's does not have a hand in somehow.Empire Bar
Used almost as frequently for King's Credit business as the office itself, it's well known that you can almost always find someone from the business inside at any time of day. Usually, though, it's Snickerdoodle, himself.
The bar sits on the lower-road level of Section F, occupying a rare spot on the main transport paths in and out of the district.크리스탈 해안 Housing Complex
Consisting of 15 floors that span a significant section of the district, the complex has 500 total units. Most of these require outside access as the complex is comprised of the initial station's employee quarters that have been partially rebuilt to fuse the original architecture into one, large building. However the central units have the luxury of lobby entry and mostly functioning elevators.Ty0ung 24hr Mart
Ty0ung Corp owned and stocked, the mart sits on the edge of New-Old Downtown and its border with the industrial sector beside it.

Diet consists of spicy ramen, vodka, and the rare mandarin orange.
Suffers insomnia.

Is slowly attempting to train the youngest to inherit King's Credit (much to everyone's amusement).
Owns five floors of 3 complexes in Level G, two in Level H, and is rumored to own more than half of Level F.
Generally leaves most of the business' day-to-day to his second in command, Mercy.
'Recruited' Mercy and Trash shortly after their arrivals in Cygnus.
Would like to retire, but thrives on adrenaline.
Needs a vacation, though.
Is trying to expand his territory into the upper levels, namely Level L.

Moved to Cygnus after the death of his sister.
Is a M.R.T.H. native and has never been off-planet. Despite this, no one is certain where he is originally from.
Has an impressive body count (not that kind).
Has an equally concerning body count (that kind).
Despite this, anyone who claims to have seen him naked is lying.
Has never had a relationship that lasted more than 9 hours.
Supposedly carries 6 weapons on him at all times.
No one has found the limits of his alcohol tolerance.
Needs several decades worth of therapy.
Prefers his own coping methods (bad ones).
Do not ask him about his family.
Also do not ask him what he did before King's Credit or Cygnus.
May also need anger management.
No one has ever been allowed in his home - Not even Snickerdoodle.
Practically lives at the King's Credit office anyway.

Was a member of the Outland gang 'Holy Razors' as a 'Rat' - children and smaller teens who worked in the narrow under-carriage of the transport rigs to do on-the-go maintenance as the rigs rarely ever halted.
Does not know of blood-related family he may have, but considered the other 'rats' as his many siblings.
Was left, roadside, by the Razors after an accident caused a significant enough injury to render him unable to work while healing.
Found his way to Cygnus at random and liked it enough to stay.
Recently joined King's Credit as a Runner (courier).
Has no idea what the packages he's carrying contain and no intention of asking as long as he gets paid.
Got the job through Roach almost by accident.
Instantly made an enemy of Mercy, but Snickerdoodle refuses to let him fire Apostle.
Will immediately call Mercy out on anything.
Does not know how to shoot, despite attempts to tech him, but is very good with blunt weapons.
Will find the highest spot in a room to perch. If there isn't one they can manage to stay on, a human will suffice.
It's usually Trash.
He is still planning on how to use Mercy as a perch without getting shot (again).

Born and raised in Cygnus Station.
Would be far more comfortable if The Trench was actually underwater.
Is still determined to go in The Trench at least once before she dies and has been forcibly removed from the old emergency access scaffolding twice.
Has several pet fish.
Spends most of her free time making sure they don't eat each other.
Prefers them to most people and will speak of them like they're people she knows rather than fish in her living-room.
Treats both Mercy and Trash as if they're approximately 12 years old.
The only person who scares Mercy just a little (he will never admit this).
Will only listen to Snickerdoodle or Birdy about any given situation within The Empire.
Will not listen to even them outside of the Empire (she's off the clock, why should she).
Has two younger siblings who live with their mother in The Capital. Habitually visits them once a year.
Considers Roach part of the King's Hierarchy and will not explain this stance beyond a non-committal hand gesture and grunt when asked.
Self-proclaimed as The Empire's bouncer.
Has been looking for Roach's cat, Snot, persistently for the past year without Roach's knowledge.
Immediately adopted Apostle as her child despite being younger than him.
